There is no rhyme or reason to the prices anymore. They do what they want and we pay. When most gas stations jump up 20c a litre then 2 days later drop down then a few days after that jump up again something fishy is going on. Nothing we can do about it

It should be illegal for them to adjust it like that so fast. Worse than the stock market.

It should be a max of 10 cents either way over 7 days to prevent the weekend, payday and holiday weekend gouging. Not saying they shouldn't be allowed to charge what they want, just put a cap on how much they can adjust over a set time. Used to be only 4 or 5 cents. Now it's up to 20 cents in a few days. WTF?

That's called a free market economy, capitialism. You're a conservative, you should know that ;)

Stock market is not controlled by anything besides supply and demand, same as fuel prices.

It could be worse. This is way up in Northern Sask. This price would sure cut down on truck sales.

Stock market and s&d have nothing to do with the price of fuel jumping 14 cents overnight on a Wednesday in the middle of Jan only to drop again on Saturday. That's just gouging for no reason other than to screw the consumer.

True story. But, the oil companies ALWAYS blame supply and demand. Worldwide supply and demand. It's really time that they come up with a new excuse IMO.

I said this months ago in a conversation with a family member back east. He was praising the low fuel price and I said just wait, if oil does not go back up the price at the pump will be close to a dollar/l to compensate for lost revenues.
My concern is what the price at the pump will be this summer and after this downturn.

I think regardless of oil prices or jobs the gas man will keep the price of fuel right around the tipping point before people riot. This way they get max profit and still keep the peace...OIL ! The new drug on the streets.
