Well Folks we did it again, as many of you folks know I invite all to come to the lake and enjoy the great country out here, but I would sure like those that do come out to the lake, like those who came out yesterday and parked just down from my place to take your Coors light cans and cigarette packs home with you. There was four vehicles, one with company logo's all over it, and the garbage is where it was parked. I will not identify it but if you read this take the garbage home, please and thankyou.
We all get painted with that brush, and I don't like it when it happens .

See u on the trails

Well I didn't take any pics of the vehs and I did say I would keep it to myself and it will remain that way. This is not the first time this has happened here so that's why I brought it forward today. The guys are parking at blk 15 at the lake and I have picked up the garbage for about a year now and would like the fellows to police themselves.
Being this is my first post on this I will hope that it will end here.

Thanks
Don

Good luck with that. Those kind of people could give a rats a$$ and will continue to do so. Your best bet is to take picture of said vehicles and send them to the company. You would be surprised how effective that action would be.

Good on you for cleaning up,.. but you shouldn't have to.

Unless something is said, they could care less, besides you don't control their lives so why would they change,.. Oh wait, public ridicule,.. people were stoned for less back in the 'ol days.

Your post is like,.. "I saw a guy speeding the other day,.. he better slow down next time he passes me" :dunno:

AWTY I know what you mean, but it is just a friendly reminder to those who forget.

Would a friendly call to the company in question be out of line for you? I mean it sounds like you are hoping for someone to say something to someone in order for the message to be sent. If I was the owner of the company in question I would be a little choked that one of my employees was mussing my good name. Reality is that unless the guilty party realizes that someone such as yourself has taken notice of their transgression nothing will be done. Thanks for cleaning up though.:(

this is bullchit, we have loss to many places to go quadding because selfishness. And the thought that they were drinking and probably driving is against the law. Do you have to wait until some one is killed, then speak up. If you don't do any thing about it you are basically are saying this practice is fine, shame on you. Don't bring it up because you are just pizzing some of us off, have a good day.

That was a little uncalled for, the man was just trying to get a message out without being a dink about it. No need to be so hostile.

Most of the members here were waiting for your reply Bogger. Tamer response than normal. I am also in favor of no drinking and riding BUT at times I feel outnumbered.
In the future maybe it will be less. Long time ago it was worse. Things are changing hope it changes faster before its to late.

I'll be the first to admit that I have a few on the trail.... doesn't mean I condone getting pizzed and riding like an idiot...

I've learned there is no sense publicly arguing a point when the law automatically puts me in the wrong, I will just continue to conduct myself in a responsible manner.... and as I said before if there are those out there who will not stop and say hi simply because I'm enjoying an alcoholic beverage then most would agree it's thier loss not mine...

Us residents at long lake are riding a very thin line of keeping ATVs or not and if you come as guests please be polite and pack out what you pack in. Also if your bike is piped please keep it down close to the cabins, there are some people in the community who do not enjoy our sense of enjoyment over noisy machines as much as we do... Just my two cents :)

I don't think it's your sense of enjoyment that they resent near as much as the actual noise.....

very true haha, but yeah its just a couple things that if everyone does them we'll be riding out there for years to come

I completely agree, but for some folks having a machine that sounds cool is the most important thing.
