How much a square foot is that
I got mine done in the spring for $5.00 a sqft for garage kings with a 21 year warranty.
This was the home show special. A few guys there were at that price.
If you do it yourself it's better to grind it than use the acid.
A friend did his a few years back with the costco stuff and had some peel.
He said if he did it again he would grind it.
Garage king ground mine and ever one that quoted me said that they would grind the old concrete.

How is ur Garage King floor holding up? Did the $5 a ft include doing the pony walls?
The rep is coming Monday to give me a quote. I talked to him about the 21 year warranty which comes with polyaspartic coating not epoxy. They say it’s tougher and more durable.

do you have a slab thickening or footing under that hoist or just hilti into the slab? how thick is the slab? dont see any cracking around your posts and im thinking of installing one in my shop

City of Red Deer states you must put in footings and frost walls for garages over a certain sqft
So yes I have pony walls, 3” SM under slab, and on outside of pony walls.

My floor is probably 5” on my wife’s side and a good 6” on mine but a 8 ft section were lift is I thickened to 8” with extra rebar.

If you are installing in a pre existing and ur not sure ur thick enough. Don’t risk it. I helped a buddy once, we saw cut out a 4ft radius to we’re the lift was gunna be installed so a 8ft by 15ft section was dug out and undermined the existing concrete and re- poured so the new concrete was locked under the old slab, with lots of rebar too. Been 15 years and he’s got no cracks of movement. I think specs say 6” slab on my 10000lbs Rotary Lift 2 post.

I have a 12000 lb four post Bend Pak and when installed the installed told me a minimum 3.5 inches .
My floor has 6 inches and good rebar with no cracks in 15 years .
Four post is a lot different then a two for sure .
Have had it loaded with my 297C loader as well . Lol

I think more for the anchor bolts as well ?

Trust me you don’t need them! About 3 min in garage and you get a free high!

Once you commit to doing it you will never go back! It makes things way easier. But you have to keep on top with the label maker. The little ones in the back shop I bought while on sale at the old totem store, they were $16 for a 4 pack. The Stanley ones by the fridge I got from Home Depot with gift cards I won from work. They are like $55 each, which hurt but didn’t come directly out of my pocket... at least that’s how I sold it to the wife!lol

The labels aren’t faced the same way. Unacceptable in the company of a brand new wicked epoxy floor and organizer shelves. Please face them and repost a pic.
