Garage epoxy project

Had a couple quotes for about 6500$ to do it professionally so I decided to give it a whirl myself. Yes I know the products are not comparable but it turned out great and I think if we take care of it. It may last . Won’t hold up to carbides I’m thinking so wheels are a must. This is grey epoxy with flake and cleacoat with traction additive. If it lasts a few years I’m happy cost was about 700$ for 800 square feet

sure is, its a much morE durable product. would likely last forever. But what shocked me was they would be in and out in one day. Im in the wrong business

Not bad for the epoxy but the clearcoat was really bad. Thankfully we were still above the reccoemeded lowest application temperature outside. But you wouldn't want to do this in the winter when you have to keep the door shut. The living quarters are above this shop and the clearcoat smell leaked into the house and was pretty bad inside overnight. All good now that its cured

Go to a janitorial / rest supply store and get a wax to put on it ...simple one step applied with a microfibre mop head ...will help keep the shine.
Careful with salt though ... caused ours to lift / flake ... otherwise epoxy makes for a great finish.

Looks really really good, don't worry nothing withstands carbides for long.
If you prepped your base before applying as directed you should have a good looking floor for a long time.
Some spare product for patching and you are set.

Looks great! I’m pondering this as the crap they spray on the streets is eating my concrete badly. I spent a small fortune on colouring and polishing the floor when I built the garage.
Did you use the Costco rustoleum epoxy ?
