I'm only adding these as precautionary measures. I typically don't have luck with any thing I have purchased. So far this sled has been a gem, no issues and awesome all the time.
so did we after hearing about some breaking.

Aaaand now it's cursed.

Martin's should have / or can get the gears and chain if they aren't backordered.
I just talked to Chris and put my order in. End of march so I can install at end of season. Many are calling he says but when they find out there backorderd they say they will look around.

mine stopped taking tension about 500km. i pull that cotter pin out and put it right in the hole on the bolt head. i dont trust the hex part isnt backing out.
I think one of the problems is that guys are paranoid and over tightening them. If you have turned that bolt 3 or more full turns you have probably over tighten it. Doo probably needs to put an auto tightener in.

Mine only ever took 1.25 turns and never has needed adjusting again. I just checked it after yesterdays ride. Am I doing it wrong?

Not sold on that TKI thing yet

I just think or believe there is inconsistent QCQA/materials/specs/mill run within the coupler and or shaft as even 2023 NA SP models are grenading bottom sprocket…. so possibly some poor sprockets or is the tolerance in splines creating that as by the looks of many incidents the chain is not breaking during these events. For the ones that stand up and wave the doo flag and say nothings wrong I have this many km on well you’re fortunate hence why I think there’s inconsistency.
(yes I know many have the opinion it’s the operator & maintenance but who knows)

But $135 TKI part may prevent failure… but who knows.

Exactly. I will believe a quality assurance issue before I believe it is a design issue. Very common once procurement gets involved for this to happen. I will use my 135 bucks for beer and keep riding tell I buy the next sled

A turn a day keeps the doctor away
perhaps but that’s little consolation for the guys that kept the proper tension.
hopefully the guy won’t mind me copying his post but here’s some backstory on that pic:
“Well I wanted to believe it was just internet hysteria but the reality of this cheap chain train wreck just bit me in the ass. Best day of the year ruined. $1,200 Heli bill because I can't get parts. I serviced my case just a week ago and pulled it all apart. No rub marks anywhere, oil was decent, zero signs of damage to any components. Checked chain tension every morning. And then BOOOM. Just shy of 1k miles on my sled. From the very bottom of my heart fuku BRP”

I wonder if there is another video coming out on this, seems there must have been an error in the last one.......
First year issue, even BRP has them.

i was kidding, that totally sucks. As ive said BRP needs to step up and do the right thing here.

problem is the hyvo chain makes the bottom sprocket break, so theres a couple things that need to be addressed here
