I have had the chance to work with a large performance company on testing there new e-tec can this weekend. As this was a prototype and one off can I will share with you how it worked. When I left the parking lot I could tell something was different, the engine was running leaner. By the time I made it 2 1/2 K from the truck the engine was running so lean in the mid range that it was missing, popping and starving like it was running out of gas. I'm sure that if I would have kept running it the motor would have lean seized not long after. It was even hard to run it back to the truck. A quick trip to the shop to install the stock silencer and back to the mountian and all was well. My advise to you is let these aftermarket suppliers take there time to make sure there products are tested and will work without damaging your engine, it might be hard to get warranty later.

we have tested our cans in the mountains for 3 weekends now and not a hiccup, code or fart out of the machine ,in our R&D we talked to the engineers with skidoo to set the probe placement and flowed them the same as stock and they sound great, run good, no problems .....ceramic coated and in stock .... ::: Welcome to Specialty Sleds :::

I tried MBRP Can on 2012 Freeride, it did not impress me. Sled would not pull RPMs right. Installed new can from Specialty Sleds, sounds great, ran sled in the mountains twice, 500km on now, can works GREAT! Highly recommend Specialty Sleds can, it is quite a bit lighter and looks better.

I am running the MBRP can i threw on straight outta the box on my 012 e-tec and it seems to be working just fine. At times at a low altitude it'll burp on the trail up however when i get to the top it performs fantastic. I rode my friends e-tec which is the x edition and didn't see a difference between the stock can and after market other then sound. Probably wasted my money throwing the MBRP can on but i like the way it sounds anyway.

P.S. I love love love my 163 e-tec. Couldnt be happier with it. What a great machine!

you guys talked my buddy into one of these at the sled show and not an issue in 800km, sounds great and great looking, even made enough room to put an arctic cat goggle bag in the panel, nothing beats some kitty cat parts on a doo;)

First ride on my 2012 e-tec 163x in mountains last weekend with a speciality sleds can on. Sounds awsome and worked great!

our group is running three 2012 etecs. two summit x 163's, mine has a mbrp can on it and the other has a npp, and one summit Sp 154 with a jaws. i tried each sled and they all performed great and the only difference was how they sounded.
