Fuel tank breather hose spitting out gas

On my 2014 Grizzly 700 my fuel tank breather hose is run up to the snorkels and there is fuel coming up through the line and has spit out fuel several times. Even with 3/4 tank it does it. Anyone else ever have this happen? Suggestions?

It happens because the fuel tank gets so hot that the gas boils and then gives off a lot of vapor. Was a real problem with the earlier 660 Grizzly.

Thanks Had the "boiling gas" thing on my 2008 700 but thought they wound have corrected it by now. On my 08 I could hear it doing it. Not so on my 14. Also part of the boiling gas issue had to do with the rollover valve didn't it? Pretty sure the 14s don't have one.

My 08 boils. I have been trying to find the rings you used to be able to get for the old Summit XP hoods and swiss cheese my side panels to try and help the heat escape but no luck.

My neighbor has no issues with his 2012. He says they fixed that problem. Have you asked your dealer ?

Make sure your cooling system is up to task.. rad clean? Doesn't take much crap in it to make it not quite enough. Change antifreeze think about engine ice, flush well first. Is your fan cycling on and off? Switch to amsoil 0w40 done deal problem solved. Also consider drilling out or removing side panels for more air movement. My 2004 660 will cycle the fan at +30C with the above mods.

Take you tank off and put that reflective foil tape on the under side of it. Go to Mopac or something like that they sell tons of heat reflecting tape and stuff.

As far as I know, that problem hasn't surfaced since the 08's. Perhaps a faulty breather valve?

Rad was cleaned out really good as I had just relocated it several days ago. Last night I cleaned it again and then swapped out my old snorkels to the warrior ones and relocated all my vent lines again as they now run up the back of holes in snorkel up to holes in top. Let it run for over an hour and it doesn't seem to be doing it now. Won't know for sure till next weekend. Taking it to Winnipeg so hopefully it doesn't do it anymore. Once it starts working harder I'll find out I think I'll order that fuel breather valve Whodeanie mentioned. Thanks for the help everyone.

Yeah I haven't heard of any complaints on that boiling gas issue for years so I'm sure they fixed that problem. I'm going to pick up another breather valve just in case that is the problem. Thanks
