Lots of folks talking winter lately. It’s always a great time of year when people start posting about winter and we start to see the awesome memories made last season. While memories are great, we prefer to make new ones! Lets talk 2020/21.

The Pirate Team is stoked for another winter season of teaching, mentoring, and guiding great folks in some of the most amazing backcountry terrain around.

If you are looking for AST training (level 1 or 2) it’s never to early to plan. We have always specialized in small group training courses and that specialty seems more important now than ever. Book your AST1 with a group of 6 or more for a private session and if you are looking to up your game to AST2 grab three of your friends for a minimum group size of four and let’s have some fun!

Our team also consist of the some of the most qualified snowmobile guides in the industry. We pride ourselves on safety first, but the fun is a guarantee!

We are now taking bookings for the 2020/2021 season for all things snowmobile fun. Avalanche Skills Training Courses, Companion Rescue, Mentorship, Instructional Days, Group Clinics, and just plain Guided awesomeness.

Check out our website. www.frozenpirate.com for more info or reach out to info@frozenpirate.com to discuss your winter needs.

Ride safe.

Some FAQs

What is your schedule? – Well……we don’t really have one. While we may post some static courses, we don’t really post a set schedule. Contact us with your needs and we will do our best to make if work for you and your schedule.

I don’t have a group. Can I still book? – YES….while we try to keep things small and private, we understand that not everyone fits into our ideal model, so please contact us if you are a single or just a few and we will make it work….we like things easy!

What is the schedule for the AST1? - Our AST1 courses are typically run with two evening class sessions on Friday and Saturday evenings followed by the full field day on Sunday. This allows everyone to still get a mountain ride in on the weekend between the Friday and Saturday evening sessions. Guide options are also available.

What is the schedule for AST2? – This course is awesome. It begins with an evening class session followed by three long days in the field with morning and evening sessions over breaky and then evening pints. These are typically run Thursday to Sunday. Minimum of four people.

I have taken my AST1 and do not feel ready for AST2, do I have options? – YES! Look into our mentorship or Companion Rescue Course options for quick and affordable refresher courses. A group should formally practice their companion rescue at least once a year and this is the best way to do it.

Are all the classes weekends only? – No but mid week classes usually need to be private due to the scheduling conflicts. But reach out and we will always try to help.

Do you travel to teach in other communities? – Not really but we will work with you and your needs to make things happen. Depending on where you are, there may be some great providers near by. Or if the idea is interesting enough, we may be down for a road trip!

I took my class session in 2008 with someone else, can I come get the field day? NO… we are strong believers in NOT breaking up the AST courses as the learning is best done all at once. We want continuity between our instructors and our students and we will not pick up other companies field days.

Do you guide? Heck yes we do. We have a team of some of the most qualified and professional guides in the industry. Get in touch with us to arrange one of your best days on the snow.
