Anyone have an issue with the Polaris magnetic tether freezing / sticking? Replaced our cheap watercraft tethers (because they would occasionally freeze) with new magnetic ones. Last couple of rides one tether wouldn't work - pull it off and engine would continue to run....
Wasn't especially cold - maybe -15 / -18 C- and one would assume that it would be designed accordingly ....

Yep. Worked fine for a bit till it didn't. Pull the cap off and tap on the base and it would work - plug wires were seated properly and wire loom was fine ...
Good habit to confirm that it works before it's needed

Check for a wire off or broken to the tether or just unplug the tether and run a jumper wire across the wires and see if it shuts down. It is always a good idea to check operation especially if the tss is bypassed.

It's defective and frozen ...not a broken wire .... hoping it's isolated it's an isolated issue .. brought 4 tethers at start of season ....

We had a similar issue on my riding partner's Polaris and it was a wiring issue. Sounds like you have a failed part. I have a Cat tether and can say it works as designed.

There is a reason we are still selling Laser Phantom Teth-Airs to the Polaris guys. And to Cat and Doo guys too.
