Front Suspension Bent?

If the sled isn't tracking properly you need to adjust the toe in. needs to be 1/4 inch toe out on the front otherwise it will fight you on the trail. And yes the s mod is tweaked on the upper a-arm mounts. typical to most older xp/xm sleds that have miles on them. Also if you do change the s-mod replace it with the mxz rs s-mod it has extra bracing in those areas that like to get tweaked with impact.

Took a look at my sled today, Alignment is within spec. Several of my bushings are worn, it might be time to take care of the S Mod.

I just wanted to confirm part numbers before I go and order a part for a different sled.
My 15' Summit X T3 163 uses S Mod PN:518327487
and the 15' MXZ RS uses PN:518327487 - Same part number? According to the Ski-Doo parts website.


And you still use the doo ds3 skis right



As soon as I junked them pos, and put grippers on my xm's, that's two of them

The sled handled like a hole different machine, both trail and in pow, for the better

Even enough, a cheap buddy of mine road mine once, and now bought new gripper skis, cause it's that much better, and his sled is straight as a arrow, mine was not

Are these Polaris skis a direct bolt on fit? I have the Munster ski saver bushings on my sled currently. I'm fairly cetain my bent s-mod and the worn DS3 skis are the issue in my sleds steering, I'm hoping to remedy that soon.

Are these Polaris skis a direct bolt on fit? I have the Munster ski saver bushings on my sled currently. I'm fairly cetain my bent s-mod and the worn DS3 skis are the issue in my sleds steering, I'm hoping to remedy that soon.
The RS used to have a different PN but was about $100 more iirc. The Freeride S-mod has a little more bracing where it meets the nosecone and was actually about $20 cheaper than the summit s-mod the last time I bought one.

One washer extra a side, center the spindle, use the stock doo rubber

I always found my xm’s to be twitchy on trail and bad for wanting to follow tracks. Centring the skis helps for sure. I wouldn’t waste money replacing the module until u really F’it up and it needs fixing. Sure as shat, you’ll getter all fixed up and smoke a rock first trip out. Lol. Thats my luck anyway. Buy good used parts. New is way to expensive if you can help it.

I've got the Grippers on my sled and just put a set on my wife's sled, they make a huge difference in steering. I would use the stock Doo rubber and trim the bottom flat so it sits in the ski, otherwise you can't get the bolt through it to mount it. Use the Doo spacer that goes in the spindle, Polaris bolts, washers and bushings and everything should bot right up, or you could get the bolt and nut size off any Polaris fiche and take them to your local fastener store and get them for probably half the price Polaris gets for the, though you will have to get the washers that go on the outside of the ski from Polaris as they are a spring loaded washer. Took me about an hour to swap them out on my wife's sled.
