Recently had a run in with a tree and am in the search for a new front bumper. What are some good options? Canadian made preferably and good quality. Thanks

my thoughts are if its going to be a write off, its going to be. These help with the little whoopsies that cause the stock rolling paper bumpers to fold into your pipe.... big money for a little tap sometimes.

Ya I’ve considered the consequences of an over built bumper. 99% of the time I’m pretty good on avoiding the trees just this time I didn’t even see it, and that’s what got me. Might end up going oem if I can’t find an aftermarket one, seems like a lot of companies are out of stock or back ordered.

Running a BMP bumper on mine and really like it. I really like the coverage the Smith Grade gives on the bottom of the sled as i have bashed the bottom of my pan on all sorts of objects and it sure is dented up.

don’t seem to offer a similar one for the Gen4. Only like the one Francis had and his was just as rough as my current one. Looking like most bumpers are back ordered a couple weeks so I’ll probably just be getting a factory one for now to get the sled together and maybe put a different one on later. Just might keep a better eye out on those trees that jump in the way lol

I think these are the best bumpers going:

https://shop.ski-doo.com/us/en/860201228-xc-cast-front-bumper.html

One of my buddies lost his sled into the trees bad, this bumper completely saved it other then a bent A-arm.

Where I live in the Rockies, everyone runs a strong front bumper, can save a person a lot of money. In my opinion if you hit something hard enough to break the S or E module, it probably would've broke regardless if the bumper was there or not. And there's cases I've seen where a strong bumper probably saved the modules.

I have a black Straightline Sport Series front bumper for a Gen4 if anyone needs one. $150. Excellent shape with hardware.

How did you make out with the install of the Smith Grade bumper? Id like to do the bumper-skid plate combo on my new expert turbo but am fairly nervous about drilling holes in the s-mod. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
