I find that many of my riding and real life friends came from this site. What started off as a way to kill time, turned into a resource for friendships and support. Heck, I even met my husband on this snowmobile forum lol.

How many of you have met friends simply from participating on Snow and Mud?

I’ve met a few peeps thru the site.

And I actually went to the sled show years back when you worked at main jet just to meet you.

Awwww Omgosh I love that! I love all of the friends I've met on Snow and Mud too. Some have come to stay over, hang out. It's like family!

I've ridden with a lot of people I've met off here.
Became good friends with a few of them.
It's been great. We sled together. Camp together. Quad together. If it wasnt for snow and mud. We never would have met

Something I find funny is when my Snow and Mud friends come to visit, we usually refer to each other by our s and m handle rather than our real names even during introductions to other people. Some were like.. who the heck would name their kid bogger???? Why is your last name Many Numbers??????

Funny stuff, same here. I actually found it really difficult at the Jamborees trying to remember people's names and handles.

I haven't got a number..........but I have a book! Doing what I doo, I have met and deal with many members of S&M. The Birthday Wishes thread has been a great thread for me; all the vip-member.gif 's that have birthdays and when their name is given in the Profile, I write them down in "the book". I have met many personally while riding, sled shows, or driving my unique truck (while in Medicine Hat awhile back, I had a member phone me. How did you get my number I asked. Saw your truck on the highway, took a picture of the phone number on the window, and hear I am talking to you.

The other aspect is "taking a friend snowmobiling" which has brought me in contact with hundreds of S&M'ers. Many of my buddies in Elkford, where working, too old or dying, or riding was too hard on them and I had to venture out and find new riders. Snow and Mud is a great community and I have made many valued friends and acquaintances!

If it wasn't for the support and wisdom from some of my friends here on Snow and Mud I don't think I could have survived Teenage girl years. You guys always made me feel better lol.

It seems like tons of people that are regularly active on snow and mud typically attend the sled show in October eh? Here's a crazy idea. I've thought of this a bit. Maybe someone could 3m it or improve it. I've always thought of how I've probably walked right past a pile of you at the show and never knew it. What if a guy wore a stick on name tag that was decently sized but not huge on our jacks or shirts or whatever on the upper left corner where a breast pocket would be with your S&M screen name or handle on it?

Im a pretty outgoing guy, I'll talk to anyone. Even people that don't wanna be talked to lol. If I spotted people's handles that I recognized from here and there are many of them I'd certainly reach out and say Hello, introduce myself and go from there.

Just a thought anyway....maybe it's a dumb idea.
