First of all, good on you. Sure hope your truck doesn't get keyed......

Secondly, from pistonbroke's link, WidlSight received $10,000 in 2009 and another $20,000 in 2011 (that was just a quick look). They are instrumental in trying to shut down the motorized recreation in south eastern BC as well as logging, mining, and exploration. This movement, and the support it receives from organizations like MEC, are intertwined in such a manner that we are so far behind in organizing ourselves that the outcome is nearly predictable. The fight will be short and sweet and motorized recreation will lose.

Hate to be negative but that is the way I see it.

So question...and just to play the devils advocate and poke the bear so to speak.

Better for sledders to not attend and not be there to stand up for us

Or

Show up, not sign up or in if at all possible and be there to positively represent the snowmobiling community?

Does it sound better in your head when you ask the same question a different way?

Well contrary to some of the conspiracy theorists on here I was not tarred and feathered nor chased with burning sticks and pitch forks.

It was an excellent presentation put on by the Canadian Avalanche center. There was no sign in required and no bashing of sledders. Excellent opportunity to gain some free knowledge on the subject. Disappointed more sledders didn't show.

Either way I enjoyed myself and also inquired about them presenting at my beacon search and BBQ in the fall and they said they would be delighted to. :)

Glad to hear you survived, I was concerned that the sledding community might have to call in Simon Baker from the Mentalist to find you, as the rumors had it that you would enter “their”premises never to be seen again....

The CAC are a hard working bunch of great people, good to hear it all went well..
