After this past weekend of pain this morning I went into the ER in Sparwood and was told I have a umbilical hernia. The doctor was able to put it back in. But she says it went in easy which means it will come out easy. I asked about sledding and she had a chuckle then informed me that I better not do any sledding or any lifting of any weight at all. Was also told to get a belt from the drug store which seems to work. She also said that if and when it pops out again if I feel sick to come back into the ER. Says the only way to fix it is to have surgery, which is now a waiting game. She did say if it gets worse they might have to do emergency surgery. So after spending about $900 on sled insurance last week i will go back and ask if I can change it to fire/theft and vandalism. Sure does suck that's for sure but that's life and I guess I will rely on friends and neighbors to help out

Sucks to get old Randy. I know that well with missing a season due to wrist issues and now surgery. Take care and listen to your doctor. Hernias are serious

Could try a second option somewhere unless you have confidence in small town of Sparwood. Otherwise, I know from experience to just take it super easy and no stress strain stuff.

Better to heal up correctly in my opinion Take the year off to focus on other things

Crappy deal 7,,, hopefully you can tinker on the small stuff on your sled or the gear you need for futer outt-ings...

My friend was down for 2 years so he slooooowly re-organize everything at his acrage and hobbies when the time came...

Lite small stuff,,, most of it done in a comfortable chair and fold up table...

He ended up with smoother operation to get things done...

Quick fast and organized...

I need him too sort out my mess...

Can you still go ice fishing? Long winter with nothing to do.
YES i can and my fishing buddies will make sure they get me out on the ice lots. Had a laugh when they said they were happy that I won't go out sledding and will have more time to ice fishing. I said I don't quite feel the same way.
