I would never own a ranger or any other 1/4 ton because I think they are a joke but driven one and hated it.

I was 23 and straight out of University. It suited my needs and budget at the time.

I think Toyota has got a good compromise with the Tacoma. It has a bigger overall size than the other 1/4 tons out there. It's just priced the same as some 1/2 tons.

In Mexico I saw a Ranger that was a 4 door crew. Now that was something I always wondered why it never made it to Canada.
The only think that size as a crew cab in a form of a truck was the Sport Trac. and that box was pretty useless It was more like a car. My dad has one, it's nice. They also stopped production.

I saw some Rangers like that in Africa as well. There don't seem to be much of the way of 1/2 tons outside of North America. Lots and lots of 1/4 tons.
