I ran one on my RT last winter. Pure Addiction, and Absolute Performance both sell them for $50.00. I got mine from Absolute. I talked to Dynamo Joe when I ordered my clutch kit and he said there was a definate decrease in belt dust when he started using them. I'll send ya mine for $30.00 if you want a slightly used one. PM me if you're interested.

It Helps Prolong Belt Life... I Think Shredder Is Selling/trading His Sled On The Kat He Just Bought, And That's Why He's Sellin' It.... I Put One On My 1000rt And Haven't Had Any Real Belt Issues Since Installing It.... The Floating Secondary Kit Is Called The "duck" And A Member On This Website Makes Them And Sells All Over North America.... Dynamo Joe Is Using His Kit As Well.... Look In The Classified Adds On This Site And You Will Find His Add, And I Think He Was Only Asking $40 Or $45.00.

In my opinion floating any secondary possible is a good thing. Allows the clutches and belt to find true centre.

Shredder and duck, PM'ed ya.

$35 gets ya a new one.....plus about $5 for shipping to Red-Deer. I've been using and making them for about 4 years and no problems. I'm also using one on my Team equipped 2008 154 XP. Typically, you will use one belt per season although I have gone 5000 km's on a belt. That was on my 2004 renegade 800 with a 136 by 1-3/4" track.

Cheers

Duck,
How much work is it to put the floating secondary on the XP? How much does it cost for the parts?
Thanks.

Sleeper, If your XP is working good, don't mess with it, unless you like to tinker around. I put a good 500 miles on mine before I installed the Team secondary and conversion shaft on mine. Up to then, the stock 166 belt was perfect. My sled along with 2 others that I ride with all showed consistant track speeds of 51-53 mph when climbing. That is a good track speed unless your on a turbo yammi.....lol
When I went to the Team secondary, I lost about 4 mph track speed and I will be testing more next winter. Belt wear was no different, still excellent, even floating. I bought all my parts separately before the Team kit came out. I spent a good $1000. You can buy the Team XP conversion kit from Team and get gears, secondary, conversion shaft and springs and pins for $799. This is the route to go. I may even go back to the QRS next season too as I bought one of Billys secondary adjusters made of aluminum to replace that crappy plastic adjuster.

Cheers....
