I have an 08 M1000 153'' and was wondering if anyone has tryed flipping the challenger tracks around after the lugs start to bend backwards. Does it last, or do the lugs just quickly bend the other way? or does it tear up the track?

i overheard someone on the hill this weekend saying it takes about 2000 miles to break a track in ,aqnd that the bending backward was what they were after ,also said he bought a new machine and told dealer to pull old track and put on new machine

That doesn't make any sense.......to me any way. The bending just causes more slippage, no ?

I've got a little over 1000 miles and you can tell the difference from riding in the powder to riding on the hard pack and it definitly doesn't grab as good in the powder. It still gets on top of the snow and goes but it shouldn't spin this bad. I wouldn't say less trenching but more spinning and definitly not better out the hole. I'll take some pics and show yah.

if you flip your track you will have a harder time stopping and slide more on the down hill.

Bringing up an old thread but has anyone done this? My brother has an 06 M7 and we are talking about trying it. His sled sucks on anything remotely hard pack and really spins in the powder. Post your findings please

We did it to the neighbors kid m7 and he said it works way better. His dad has a m8 and his m7 out does it in all snow conditions. And both sled are 162".

Yup, the '07/'08 Camo cat tracks work much better reversed. Done it to 2 M7's and 2 M1000's now. Go ahead, you won't regret it.

Do it, you will like. Just a little hairy going down big hills but that just adds to the excitement.:)

I still remember going down some of the same hills with the tracks we had in the 70's and 80's, so the camo backwards works great in comparison!:scared::fear: :bolt:
