Howdy folks,
Just came back today from a 9:30 am to 5:00 pm ride in the mountains behind Powell River. Got into too much snow for a quad, even with Big Horn tires it became too much to navigate and will have to wait for another couple of weeks to get through that particular pass.
Am looking at the Outback of Powell River and am thinking that I'm going to NEED a sled. I'm 62 years old, like to snowboard, ride quad, shoot trap, hunt, canoe and do the usual stuff.
Mike Irmen gave me a tape of him and a bunch of guys doing seriously neat things with rocket powered sleds and I've just about worn it out watching it. Very neat stuff indeed. I'll be looking for advice on which sled to look for on the used market that will allow me to get back into some of the neater places that I can get off, have my passenger ride down and get me while I ride fresh, untracked snow....unless I find that I just want to ride the sled and get afflicted with Sled-Headism.
Regards,
Pat in Powell River, BC.
