1989 Mazda MPV.

It was awesome. Fit 5 dudes and 5 bmx bikes for as long as we needed to go, and only broke down regularly.

reading some of these threads sure does bring some nostalgia of the cars we had/drove with our buddies. Some of you had dodge Omni/Horizon's. My mom had one too. What a huge piece of crap that thing was even brand new but did great donuts on ice after pulling the e-break. Round and round we go!!!!!

My first ever car was a 1984 toyota 4 runner pickup (4 cylinder standard) it was handed down to me @ the age of 6. drove it mor on the farm then the road (actually it and I never wen on the road together) as it had an 8inch lift fabricated out of hockey pucks and ready rod... and a home made welded bracket for suspension lift. So i sold it to a friend. So my official first legal vehicle would be a 2007 gmc sierra 1500 bought it in late 2009 when i was 14... Been driving it since i was 16...

1985 Dodge Aries K CAR....lol generic blue 4 door 2.2L 3 speed auto, put MANY, many a mile on that car....beat the daylights out of it and it NEVER left me stranded, AWESOME car!! Even jumped it racing the empty grain truck across the field. Bought it for $1200 @ a Red Deer car auction and 4 years later sold it for $900 in the Yukon @ another car auction. lol Miss that car!!!

Next bought a brand new 1998 Dodge Dakota...

I knew a guy that had one it was gold with a white hood and 3 K emblems lined up across the back so it was the dodge KKK car

did you manage to keep it? I loved those cars when they came out.

Nope sold it in 1991 wish I still had it

well i'm only 18 and i've been through a few already :p started with a 85 scottsdale, 454 on 40's aka the ditch pig. then moved to another 85 chevy, 454 on 40's street legal! in need of a nickname, the others include a prelude and various pickups. but the ditch pig has got to be my favourite.

after my Toyota I bought a 1978 Chevy shortbox full time 4x4 (old foresty truck). I too put hockey pucks as a body lift. Stacked 3 with a metal plate in between. Never had any issues and sold it with them still in.

My dad bought me my first car at 13....I was prettypumped reading that B-day card....went running outside to find a 1953 Rustinggreen Volkswagen the best part the motor was in a box beside the car. Wasn’tquite the image I had running out there....bought a service manual and had thecar running three months later...by the time I was 16 (1974)I had bought andsold three cars ( 54 Pontiac 4D Sedan, 61 Ford Galaxy, 1967 Volvo 144 ) usedthe money to buy a 1970 Fairlane 500 with a 302. Currently on my 32 vehicle.

I would be dangerous with money....

Did something similar to my son, except he knew it wascoming that way....teaches you how to wrench and defiantly makes you look afterthings....still drove them hard but knew where the limits were....

From a 97 f-150 xl with power nothing, and the ac taken out (dad believed the gas mileage was better then dieing in the heat.)
To a 99 Oldsmobile intrigue (god d**n granny car)
Now I'm on a 94 chevy 1500 with the 6.5 diesel. Sounds cool, 4x4 and I love it.
