you sound like you know what your talking about, why is spruce better than birch.
cost wise spruce is cheaper, birch is rare and big money, googgle the BTU`s on it and I would not spend the extra cash for birch. buddy got a semi load of spruce last year delivered on dropped for $900.00

Going rate for a load of Spruce around here is around $1200...buddy's got a self loader and brought me a heaping load this summer for 1/2 price.:) Just spent 6hrs with the wife cutting and splitting in the back yard. SO much easier than gearing up and fighting in the bush!

Check out the fellow about 1km North of La Corey.

There is tons of logging trucks loads there.

There are clearing at Foster creek and Esso.
