We had the exact same thing happen......... Repaired the wiring and replaced some melted parts, and runs like a top!
Looks like you did a pretty decent job of it too!
The big black horsehoe piece holds the reverse relay/beeper onto the frame(probably don't need it, as you probably strapped it away), and the black rubber piece looks like it;s for the headlite...........otherwise looks good
