Like Merc said you have way better control. And it’s easy to install. I found I had to give it a few days to get use too especially first couple of rides of the season then it feels pretty good. Also make sure you get the guard. Good luck.

Takes a couple days on it to convert but I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. Only time I find it at a disadvantage just like a thumb throttle is when your off axis on opposite side (left running birds) and trying to reach to get sled over. Install for the throttle itself is simple, I find skidoo’s pins for their electrical can be frustrating if they pop out or don’t snap back into the socket.

I put one on two years ago. Once you get used to it it works great, I’d say a couple rides and it’s no problem.

The only complaint I have is that the heater element sucks.

Yeah the heater element sucks, I’ve never had the guard and never once had a problem, that being said I run it pretty much vertical. I will never go back to a thumb throttle.
