My last trip was Mid-May in Silent Pass and part-way through the day of riding I noticed a very loud metal rattling sound coming from under the hood. I took the side panels off and rev'd the engine to make the rattling increase but couldn't see anything that stood out. The engine did seem to shake at engagement moreso than I had last remembered but the Sled still seemed to ride fine so I left everything as-is and finished the day riding and went back down to the truck.
Well I thought today would be a good day to start the cleaning process for summer storage. Found this gem sitting behind my engine underneath where the injectors/throttle body are situated. Completely loose and would explain the source of my rattling noise. Anyone know where this piece belongs? I've searched for 20 minutes now and can't see where this would of came from? My suspicion is it's a motor mount (as this would account for the shaky motor) but I can't see any that are missing or look 'broken'. There's 2 spots on the piece where you can see the welds broke.
