After wearing contacts for 10+ years I went and got corrective eye surgery in the spring of 2010. My only regret is not having it done sooner. Love the freedom of waking up and not having to search around for glasses or the mess and hassles of contacts, dry eyes or fuzzy contacts.

I have had contacts since high school. The one thing that's bad at first is leaving them in overnight. Sometimes they dry right out and stick to your eyes in the morning, seems especially bad when the night ended with a lot of rum. Some people get really sensitive to drafts that may get into their goggles, making your eyes water but I don't find any problems. Take good care of them and you should have no problems, but wear them lots before winter gets here, you want to get your eyes used to them before you're on snow.

Go the laser surgery root if you can. I've had glasses most if my life, tried contacts for sledding. Hated every minute of them and went and got the laser surgery. Only regret like the other peep was not doing it sooner.

I ride in contacts and just make sure you wear goggles if your out where it's dusty......ok wait you're a sledder but if you quad, wear goggles cause the dirt gets stuck between your contacts and eyeball and that equals major owwww!! I hate wearing goggles, I wear glasses, I just try and make sure i'm in front! lol

Been wearing contacts for about 16 years now no issues wearing them riding at all. Contacts have came a long ways in the last few years as far as breathability goes Just make sure you wear your goggles when your riding because they'll get pretty hazy after a day of riding if u don't. This just seems to happen at the end of the day when your on your way home from a day of riding(always carrying moisturizing drops help)
