I agree, ignition switches do wear out when loaded with all sorts of crap. that's a given, but I guess this is not a typical wear and tear issue. I saw the show the other day, and they dug up an astonishing amount of info on this issue. what I found most shocking was the actual dollar figure they had worked out for the cost of a human life, and how they figured it cheaper to just shut up and pay out lawsuits than to do a recall and fix the problem.... Wow that sure says a lot about corporate greed now doesn't it?

Remington did the same thing with there model 700 guns. Big business it's all about the bucks... I won't buy another Remington because of it.
