You are judging the hunters involved.

If you weren't there, how would you know if he did the right or wrong thing?

Hindsight is always 20/20 "Willy II"[/QUOTE

Last winter big pile up on Qe2 I was,nt there, how do I know some body did some thing wrong,99 car pile up.If every one was spaced out and driving the speed that conditions allowed for it wouldn't of happened.I think 98 people should lose thire right to drive.Instead every one feels sorry for them.

You go biking around fernie after reading all this you come around a corner and theres momma grizz and shes pizzed, what are you going to do?????.You should have a plan for it.

This guy lived and that's great,do I feel sorry for him,not really if you don't know what your doing don't do it.Every one on here talks about avy training and how important it is,yet every year some dumbass goes out and gets barried.Even after some one told them its not a good idea to go there. Can you feel sorry for them.I don't,but I would be the first to try and help and I,m sure every one else on here would to even willy

Need to stay on topic. Bears,,,

99 car pileup, I was there we responded to it. Has nothing to do with bear hunting

well were not really talking about bear hunting,Its more about people doing stupid things.Like 99 car pile ups because people don't know how to drive.I use to drive tow truck in a small community in b.c Ive seen things that would make a billygoat puke.So whats your point of you responding to it.

I think the real topic of this thread is that you're an attention whore.

I was out hunting yesterday on a ridge in the Fernie area and saw Stars chopper flying over head of us and we both wondered why? Yes we do keep quiet while out hunting even grizzly country. Stars comes this area quite often for lots of different reasons and thank god that they do!

Please see definition:

attention
whore
(plural attention whores)

  1. (derogatory, vulgar, idiomatic) An individual that routinely solicits attention through inappropriate tactics and provocation

Describes you perfectly.

P.S. That's only the 732nd time the white Oakley joke has been made on this site...

Just a thought, if the hunters were properly equipped he wouldn't have had to shoot at the bear, if he would have had bear spray which you should carry especially if your hunting them , his buddy would have have sore eyes and lungs but that's better than bullet holes.........just Sayin!

well it might help,I belive one hunter who was attacked the bear was drove off with pepper spray but then died later from the wounds. The only true way to survive a bear attack is to stop it before it starts.Proven fact bunch of guys with guns and the bear still gets a good fight in.with people living closer to them confrintations are going to happen. And I think I want something more than pepper spray.

Works well, forestry worker(Wildlife conflict specialist) attacked by a grizzly this summer had a can in his backpack, bear bit into it and went running out into the bush, guy escaped pretty much unhurt. Wildlife conflict specialist describes Jasper grizzly attack - Edmonton - CBC News
