They had low snow last year and that bad avy the year before last, ever since that, people have stayed away. Vale gets 400+ guys a weekend. Great for us mcbride riders, but not good for the town. 4 years ago, there would be people parking on the road and 50 sleds sitting at the cabin, renshaw is so big it can handle it with ease.

Only rode Renshaw once last year because of the low snow, so I believe it. Will have to make a few more trips out there this season by the sounds of it. Shame the pub closed though

That's part of the reason for low numbers. No place to eat in town and some of the hotels don't seem to like sledders.

We almost got in fisticuffs with the owners of that place over parking issues a few years ago. Our group had at least 5 rooms rented and he wanted us to move all our stuff out onto the road so that some important person driving a Honda civic would have executive parking when they got in late.

Yeaa everyone basically covered the reasons above why McBride has been getting quiet lately. Although slides happen at Vale too.. don't get me wrong I'm ok with the quiet weekends I like being greedy with the fresh snow. But having friendly hotels would be a good start to keeping me as a return customer. We cook our own pizzas in the hotel so eating out doesn't bother me. The 30km ride in is prob a deterrent as well.

Higgins... we are all jealous of you right now. Didn't think it could any better than last weekend but looks like I was wrong!

We'll we're having a great ride and McBride has great snow right now!! Bluebird day but a little chilly to start back up Belle due to sled woes!

Looks great. We should be on the hill by 8:30.
Have a couple "experienced beginners", did you make a path to the backside.
Spirit a bit much for this crew.

Going to limit exposure so they have some fun.

Out of fuel in 4 hours today. Full throttle everywhere, over the hood in the sheltered meadows. Open area are firming up but still deep.

One of the coldest trail rides I've ever done, but temps up top seemed fine.

Does anyone know if Mount renshaw has slide before down to where people side hill under as you head towards the saddle? If seen it slide in the late spring, it piled up higher at the base of the peak. Friend of a friend is saying that peak slide all the way down to the trees under it?
