We've been going to McBride 2 or 3 times a year for a few years, but this weekend will be the first time this winter, and 8 of us plan on heading into Renshaw. I'm really surprised by the decrease in the number of posts regarding conditions in comparison to past years - especially by the locals, who have always been so excellent. Are people just not sledding the area this winter, are conditions that bad, or is everyone just trying to keep things for themselves?

Numbers are way down for sure. If you haven't sledded Mcbride once you owe it to yourself. Renshaw is so big and it honestly offeres every different style of riding. We're heading there on the 23. Can't wait.

Cheers

I agree the updates seem to be down from years previous but Ive been riding in McBride for the last 10 years + and always find some area to have fun in. If the snow is low then pray for sun and do some exploring. Im heading out on the 23rd also so lets hope there new snow or at least sun.

I believe the numbers are down due to conditions. I ride Mcbride 90% of the time most years and truly enjoy the terrain and the people in the town. I have not rode there yet this year simply because of conditions. There have been some deep days but unfortunately they didn't get the snow that other places did early in the year to cover up the stumps and rocks. I will be heading there Saturday and report our findings. I sure hope the weather smartens up around there. The businesses, snowmobile club and locals work hard to please sledding guests.

We're heading up morning of the 17th riding the 18th and 19th. And half day on the 17th.

Last weekend was good snow. It's been a long time since I've pushed snow over the hood on Belle. I'm hoping for simular conditions this weekend.
Heard it's raining in town so I guess we'll see once we get up there

Will do.
A friend of mine lives there. It was +2 yesterday. So yeah we'll see what we have.
Probably won't be able to post pictures from my phone. (File sizes are too big) but I can provide you an update of Belle Friday night.

Rode Belle today.Never made it higher then the meadows.
About an inch of fresh on top. however that nice 14" dump last weekend the top 3 to 4" is real hard and crusty. once you break through that you are stuck. the sleds don't seem to pop out of the crusty layer, just trenches.
