back in 1998 I built a elan with a blizzard 7500 engine.....liquid cooled 340 with pipes and rotary valve.......factory HP was 75, but in an elan it felt like 175 hp lol......I built an alum tunnel and had a 136x1.5 track under it......to make a long story short I crashed and was off work for 15 months! but I got a bionic shoulder now lol! sorry no pic or video....just the scar to remind me lol!

That video was sick, I have one at my parents cottage in Sault Ste. Maire. It's the twin version and EVERYTHING is bent/broken on it but it still runs.
That rider has big cajones to launch that thing.
Thanks for sharing that Doug.:d

They should have never quite making them....they'd sell a ton of them even today....put an independant front end under it with a little wider ski stance....nicer aluminum tunnel and bingo! ....a huge seller. Loved them little sleds. :d

give me idea that could be scarey

I actually looked at it as I have 2 more of these. I spoke to the guy a long while back at Centerpoint design and they were gonna fab up a front end for me. I was going to relocate the tank as this would be in the way and do it up...I still might one day if I can ever quite adding more things on my to do list and get caught up. Love thos e little twins...they had a sound of their own!

that is why I have the scar (bionic shoulder) because of the very narrow ski stance........it was my first ride on the 75 HP elan and only made it 3 miles up the hill when I crashed.......on my list of things to do on it was to build a IFS system that was wider.........well to make a long story short the ex wife wouldnt let my work on the sled again because of the weeks in the hospital...........I guess that is one reason she is my EX WIFE lol.....going to build another one one day.....
