Hey just wondering if anyone has an idea of what could be happening.

I went out to start my truck this morning Pushed the clutch in slow as it was very stiff, fired it up Let it run for an hour go out to take off, and it felt like there was no clutch untill the last 1/2" of Stroke, so I pumped it a couple times and it pressured up.

So i went to take off and i let my foot out maybe 1/4" and Stalled cause the clutch completely engaged.

This happened Lastyear just before i had to replacethe Pressure Cylinder in the Tranny.

WTF!!!

Friggin FORDS!!!

you will be replacing the slave cylinder again, the cold rubber breaks and no clutch. happens every year, i owned four of the trucks and seemed i replaced that cylinder every year, and no sense in not doing the clutch at the same time, say good by to $1000.
i finally sold the pos and went to auto trannys, another head ache in a different area. did i say stuck and good by tranny.

pretty much at least 3 of them every year whenever it got below -30. had those trucks for 3 yrs. and finally just sold them.
all you had to do was just push in the clutch, and then it was no go.

wow....could get expensive for sure.

I agree, needs a slave... Happens to these trucks when it gets really cold!!! usually see one or 2 a year towed in for this reason.

Lol i guess so, i paid $2000 for the truck May/09 had 115,000 Km on it.

Put a new clutch in it last Fall.

I got Hit on the highway Nov10/10. Caused 2400 in damage, the girl paid me the 2400.

So whatever im ahead of the game i guess. Time for something New.

Wow...I thought this was just a problem with my truck. I've had the same issue with my clutch. Replaced the master at about 40,000k and then the whole works at 65,000. I definitely will not be buying another Ford after all the crap I've gone through.
