Your 99 has an 1.25" shaft the drivers you have are for the newer doo shaft that is just over an inch. You need drivers for the 1.25 shaft. I can't remember the exact year but I think it was around 2000 and maybe even the 99 ZX chassis had the 1.1 shaft.

Send them back and get the Ski Doo ones, if they are too small they will possibly break if you try and put them on. if they are a 1" shaft they are probably for a Polaris or early Yamaha. All Doo's were a 1 1/4" shaft up to about 2001-2002. Then they went to the 1 1/16" to 1 1/8" shafts.

If they are only 1/4 in. smaller than they are supposed to be press them on and they will be fine. Just for reference Avid products makes the same driver for 1 1/4 and 1 1/8 shaft size.

There is no risk of them breaking or splitting when you push them on the shaft? Or the plastic just compresses that much? Just curious

There's an analogy there that I won't use.........but you get the idea...:D

Yes, Avid and Wahl make an 8 tooth. You can also get them from Royal Distributing. I have them microbelmonts on my mod and they work great. Lot thicker than the others.
