I just picked up my '97 670 summit and it has twin pipes on it.But theres no can. They just bends around like normal exausts but curve down and exits through the stock hole. never seen this kind of setup before. I know the sled is REALLY LOUD and I dont mind that (alltho others might) and im just curious to what brand these are so I can look up some specs on them.
any help will be great Ill post pic whe I can.

Post some pics. It sounds like they are some home made deal. Mountains are cool for loud pipes but they are not liked on the trail.

They Look Like Older Slp Or Aaen Pipes.... I Think They're Meant More For Lake Racers/draggers Than Climbers??? Interesting......... I Have Cpi's On My '99 Summitx Mod, But They Doo Have Silencers On Them.

I'm pretty sure that they are Gagne pipes,If you call Ralph at split second performance in Valleyview he could probably help you out with some specs. If you are not into constant tuning, get rid of those pipes,I had a set on an Mxz 670 and to fully utilize these pipes you need some fairly aggressive porting. If you elect to keep them, good luck.Buy lots of pistons.

well they guy I bought the sled off of rode it for a year (season) and all he did was put gas/oil in it and he never had any problems he went from pigeon lake riding to mountain riding with only changing jets. so as far as he said to me was the sled was reliable and didnt cause any trouble for him.
but that could be just selling talk. I trust the guy not to lie to me to sell a sled so I dont think thats the case. all id like to know is what kind of pipes they are and peformance gains from stock exaust. just to know for my own knowledge.
thanks everyone for all the replys and keep em commin.

Perhaps the guy that sold it to you has the stock exhaust. I'm almost positive they are gagne pipes.
