Makes sense actually grandpa used to always leave the radio on in the pump house on the farm very rarely had mice in there and the sink drain was just a hole in the concrete at the bottom of the wall that free flowed out side water went from sink to the floor and out the hole no piping and rarely any mice

You might be on to something polarice. I leave a radio on in the shop 24/7 and there are no mice.

I will ask the question though; how come they will come into the house with the radio and TV going?

It must work like those hi freq. emitters. I once caught a mouse in our garage and put it in a bucket and I wanted to know if this emitter really worked. So I lifted it over the bucket and it was affected right away, the thing just acted all gimped and weird like it was having seizures, so I dropped the emitter into the bucket and the mouse died. o_O Radio must work the same way where high frequencies repel the mice.

i also noticed this quite a few years ago, and would catch a mouse in the traps about every 3 or 4 days in the garage when we would always turn the stereo off........ the newer stereo we leave on, just turn the volume down, and hasn't had a mouse in the traps for over 2 years now. coincidense? I think not :)

Interesting find. I leave the radio on in my garage and no mice either.
Either that or the neighborhood cats are getting them.
