So what is the procedure to check run out.. I'm guessing you would pull the plugs and set dial indicator.. Then turn slowly and check run out... Sound right??

remove front left motor mount bolt, make peice of thick flat steel, bolt to mount, use magnetic base dial indicater, screw clutch bolt in crank (clutch removed) and slowly turn engine over. if over 3-4 thou doo will probably warrenty. at 7000km clutch is probably worn out, have that done too :>))

She is on it's death bed. Dealer should warranty it if still any left otherwise get it rebuilt or swapped out or prepare for a tow out or heli ride.

I remember people watching crank runout on Polaris 800's like a hawk, but depending on how you ride, it can change every time out. Landing under power, catching hard snow under power, etc. puts major loads through the drivetrain and will effect that measurement. I honestly don't think it's a critical as it's made out to be, IMO.

Bad runout will destroy bearings eventually. Harley's have the same problem, but it's attached to an oil pump not a clutch.
