I watch quite a few of their YouTube videos. These guys have reusable molds for smaller epoxy projects. With the increase in wood prices they may be a cheaper and easier option.
I may also try their epoxy.

These look like they would be good.
The place I get most of my stuff has some reusable molds coming in. I will probably get a couple. I have reused the mdf molds I built but they only last for about 2 uses.

Cool woodworking guys, I really like the old reclaimed and live edge stuff.

Simiron Casting Resin and Ecopoxy flow cast.

Ecopoxy says 1.5 inches is max per pour. The Simiron says 2"

Building a mantle and I want to try a thicker pour(4"), but without a cooling table I might have to try and do it in multiple pours.

That looks Kool! Maybe have to use a clear epoxy or less pigment? I wondered how objects would show up in it.

Hate to ask but why so many casings for one deer???

Lol

I think I should of did a thin layer of colour let it set then put the casing in and did clear over it.

As for why so many casings I suffer from buck fever lol

Make sure you stick something in the casings after you pour to pop the bubble of air that gets trapped in the case.

Built my first router sled today and leveled 2x4 table top and a smaller one.

Used 1.5 x 1.5 square tubing for rails and 1.5 angle iron for sled.
A little min wax on everything and slid smoothly

Seemed to work awesome and all I had was a 3/4 bit

That’s the biggest reason I haven’t built a river table yet. I don’t have a router table to level it and don’t have the space to keep it if I do build one.

Where you buy the epoxy from?

I just built a temporary table out of saw horses. Had a sheet of 1"? Plywood around and then put a 1/2" piece on top of it. Screwed it together and leveled it.
Then I put 1x4s down under the square tubing. Few small scrap strips of plywood to hold tubing from moving. And then the sled on top. It can all come apart in about 10 minutes.

It's a redneck table I know but seemed to work.

I bought the ecopoxy from Windsor Plywood in town. Looked it up on Amazon and it was about 20 bucks cheaper on the $430 kit so I bought local.

I only check Home Depot and Rona and the only stuff I could find was just for bar tops. It’s not cheap! Windsor plywood in Leduc has nice Redwood tree I want to build a table from. They have a slab of maple there and is $5000!

If you are in Edmonton and you want to check out the most extensive selection of cool wood for projects go to WG Chanin and see what he has in that warehouse. Absolutely mind blowing. From all over the world.
