Engine Light

i own a 2010 renegade 800r and the stupid engine light keeps coming on and off. I took it to the dealership and after two weeks they told me a connector to the transmission sensor had mud and junk in it so they cleaned it up. Next trip out about half way through the trip the engine light is doing the same thing all over again. So i was wondering if any of u guys on here no any simple thing that can cause the light to turn on and off.

My 09 renegade x does this every once in a while as well. I found by cleaning the connector & putting dielectric grease in it helps. My 4x4 indicator also shows 4x4 when the switch is in 2wd. I do the same to the connectors & crimp them a little tighter, so they contact better.
