Boycotting brp would hurt the local brp small businesses more than hurting brp as a large corporation.... Western sales is only a small percentage of what brp has a stake in, compared to the sales in the east.

If you really want to boycott Quebec maybe choose a product that will actually have an impact?

Wouldn't it make more sense to boycott flying on Bombardier airplanes and stop using light rail transit that was made by Bombardier rather than taking it out on a company that has nothing to do with that company? Man? Are you new to Skidoo and Mud? How many times since 2003 have we had to explain to people on this site they are no longer affiliated with each other?

The easiest solution is to stop the equalization payments, then QC can't afford radical Saudi oil and will be calling to build pipelines, to transfer oil from our own country that has high standards on human and envrio safety.

The crazy thing is the line is mostly done, there's just a few links that need to be completed.

I figured after the train derailment people would be calling for safer transportation. Maybe we need better educating on pipeline safety

A lot of misconceptions out there in all aspects to the east/west scenario. Obviously people are misinformed on a ton of stuff whether it be gun safety, who controls BRP and new advances in pipeline safety? I will bet you dollars to doughnuts Denis Corderre knows dick about pipeline safety. He needs to understand that we will not support Bombardier if he keeps imposing his biased opinion about pipelines. Regular Quebecer's probably have no clue pipelines are safer today than 20 years ago. Same with guns. Take a gun course. They do not teach you how to slide on your butt across the hood of your car while emptying a mag on whatever you want to shoot. Its all about safe handling and respect for guns. All gun owners do NOT want to shoot people.

Well after literally the least amount of effort possible researching it seems one of the biggest employers are the banking investment and insurance sectors. I'd suggest removing your money from any company based there or underwritten by companies based there.

Dejardens pulled financial funding to oil and gas projects. Isnt it the same financial institution that BRP uses to finance new toys???

I've never financed through BRP so have no idea who they work with. If I need to finance something I work with my locally owned and operated credit union.

One of many like Laurentian and others. So you think targeting them because they use a certain bank for their programs will work? Lol

I don't check the brand because I don't care if they are Bombardier jets or Boeing or whatever. I just want to fly. Lol. You guys are the one that want to lay the smackdown on Bombardier and anyone they may or may not have done business with them in the past not me?

Maybe some Albertan politician will start putting duties on Quebec products.....

Think of how much a new summit would be with a 15% FU tax.

We do it for craft beer even though it isn't legal.

Look I am no fan of Bombardier either. I don't like government hand outs to them. But I do have a problem with people picking on BRP because they think they are the same group of cronies that run both companies. If you don't like BRP because of their product or your 850 eats belts than go hard. Boycott them. That is your right. But to boycott them because you think they are getting marching orders from Bombardier and wasting taxpayer money then I am just here to inform you to go to google and catch up on news. A lot has happened since 2003.
