It's with great sadness that the 1976 Ford E350 cube van that had been used by Everett as a pit van in his oval racing days, then migrated over to Kenny, as a pit van in his oval racing and finally to Dusty has been retired. Have a fellow coming over to pull out the 429 motor for a hotrod, and the rest us going to Navo's to be shredded and recycled into some new sled parts in China probably.

Oh if that cube van could talk, there probably be some good sled racing secrets, or honest cheating. lol :d:beer:;):rolleyes::beer::beer:

I'm shedding a tear there Dusty. Lot's of good times on the road with that rig. There were late nights traveling all over Alta. and Sask, plotting how to beat team Two Feathers, a few rums were had after the days events and that rig was the beginning of the end for Larry Mazura and his 200% markup parts at the track. Sold lots of 340 and 440 supermod parts out of there and paid for my race weekends. And just for the record........we ran fair and square. Ha Ha ;);)

I knew that writing flourish of Ken's would produce a story. Was "Team Two Feathers" the predecessor of the DPN and Chief Thundercheeks? Or was it way before his time?

for the young uns out there Team Two Feathers, was (mid 1970"s) and still is a force to reckon with when it came to oval racing. I'm sure Ken will chime in. :d

They were definately the premier race team in the NWSA at the time I raced. Although it may have been because they would work on there stuff after the races and then go to bed instead of partying all night like the rest of us. Lol. I am pretty sure they don't oval race anymore as there are no circuits anywhere out west anymore, however I do know they are still pretty involved in Ice drags. Len is doing the tuning, they have a young waif who does the driving and Ken still writes the cheques. Helps to own the largest furnace business in Calgary to. Ken was still ordering pistons from me up to 2 yrs ago now.:d:beer:

Hey snopro!
My brother (Kevin Nagel) and I are piecing together a vintage oval sled to run at the Beausejour 50th next January. (an 81 Skidoo "offset") and we're looking for ANY 250 Rotax parts.
Got anything left ?
We'll also be running a 1990 A-arm twin-tracker that we've recently picked up in Wisconson. (was a Dale Loritz sled) :d
WOT
PS> See Lorne U. around there ever??
