Yup, definitely not tracked out on Thursday! Snowed most of the day. Also the slides off to the right on the way up went big. The twin slides that went earlier in the year are still loaded. The furthest west one went into the west side trees an extra 150 feet!

Spring is in the air, the snow is soft and fresh on some aspects and soft and sun soaked on others

Found good snow in the trees today, forecast is looking promising.
You guys should all come out for our poker run on march 31st!

Went up the Crossing Creek trail yesterday. Found some nice snow but sure did notice that the younger generation likes to climb and track out the open areas. Lots of fresh untracked was remaining deep in the trees. Smith Basin was a surprise with 40 cm of soft snow in the open meadow. Visibility was the chits so even looking for cornices or debris was impossible. We were extremely careful as there are so many chutes to be concerned with. The trees above Mear Lake were good with 30 cm of fresh. Sun crusts were evident but were covered with the fresh. Snowed all day with 5 cm falling by the time we left.

The most exciting part was the slide path and resulting debris pile that not a people knew about. I was told about it 17 years ago by a very knowledgable old timer. It had only slid once to cover the trail in my 17 years of riding up there. This is the second time it has slid and it was a doozy......kudos to the groomer operator for cleaning that up!
