Crossing Creek trail with potential for quite a few avalanches was true to form today! Mother nature is so powerful!
We were feeling fairly confident with this particular slide area as it has released 3-4 times and each time stopping above the trail.
This ran full course and deposited about 15' (5-6 meters) of debris on the trail and 20' (7 meters) at the end of course.
When using this trail, please use a beacon and practise all the protocols of safe back-country travel.
In the pictures one can see the run-out zone (the area with few trees) and it is huge. The sled is on the groomed trail with the debris pile in front of it.
Gonna be fun cutting that down to the trail with the ol' SnowCat.
