I ran my power through my high beams and got a remote relay for my bars. I can either have them on with my high beams or shut them off so it's just my high beams...no need to run wires and switches into the cab of your truck. It is just a small 4 button remote ( similar to a car starter remote) I'm very happy with the results.

Would like to know more about this please. Just am electrical simpleton here so speak slowly please. I like pictures!

I've had one of those sitting on my shelf for a couple of years....was going to use it on wife's Murano LED bar. (since it was near impossible to get a couple of wires from under the hood, to the inside driver's foot area) I ended up just wiring hers so every time the hi-beams go on, the LED goes on. She didn't want a remote for a light switch.

The Titan was easy getting wires to the cab....not fun trying to get a hi-beam power source. (or find a nice switch....but that will be fixed soon. Bonus: Nissan parts took the switch I bought back....thank GAWD as it was 55 bucks)

The best way to do it is to run a completely separate switch for the LED bar like you did, then to use a diode to connect between the high side of the Hi beam and the relay to the LED bar. That way to can still use the LED bar separate from everything if needed... Or if the switch is in the on position it will use the Hi beam switch power.

I do the same thing with my fog lights on my vehicles. (allows high beams + fogs)

Edit: This also ensure that if you get pulled over by the police you can inform that that your LED bars are for "off road use only". The moment they see it turn on when your high beams go on... You're screwed.

On my last 2 trucks (GMs) I used a feed from the hi-beam to the power side of the switch...no diode required. The switch tripped a relay and the LED bar had it's own power...worked perfect.

The curly wire is the antenna, I used 3M heavy duty tape and mounted it on my battery. The relay I have is wired for 2 channels. The remote is a 4 button remote that will strobe the LED's in different sequences if you so desire that effect.
I bought this from Big Mikes Bright Lights in St. Albert, wasn't very much money.
