I don't agree as much as the team may suck the arena district will be a huge lift to the city. sure the city is investing but nothing close to the additional billions being invested in new development, it's about time Edmonton hit puberty and started to grow up.

This is exactly correct... i hope people stop going to the games and purchasing jersey's/merch... that is the only message that management/ownership will interpret.

And this humiliation is so much harder to swallow with the Flames playing good old school hockey...

This is correct, Even when Lowe had made statements about them losing last year, he said " we keep filling the seats" so ya, as long as they are filling the seats no changes will be made. One win, the media will try to make the people forget the last 11 games & seasons and it will be all good, 20000 plus will be back at the game this week to be disappointed.

the big difference now, is that the media "isn't" letting up on this problem either..... Twitter has sports casters, writer's, editors etc all up in arms just like the average fan, and they're calling them out.
