Pricey but way ahead of the $100/lb rule of thumb that you can usually count on to lose weight. I hear these have some electronics under the cover to keep the cells evenly charged and avoid failures that other LI batteries often have.

These batteries are wicked, have been running one in my 250RR beta, finishing up a video on them now...and for sledding they are so much lighter than the stock battery, i have been using e-start for a while and don't notice the weight but now with this battery there is no excuse not to have e-start...I would choose that over a can any day!

1. obviously the weight. The one you have is 1.3 pounds or .6kg.
2. comes with a 2 year full warranty
3. Has a built in battery management system (BMS) that protects the battery from over discharging (left lights on, key on, etc.)
4. The BMS protects your battery from over charge in the event that you have a bad charging system or charger.
5. The BMS balances the individual cells on the inside so you do not need a special charger for it. Your lead acid one works great!
6. If you ride 20 minutes every 6 months, you will never need to charge this battery in your dirtbike!
7. Completely nonhazardous and even recyclable like a cell phone battery. No lead or acid that can be very dangerous.
8. Turns your engine over much faster, after you install it you will see what I mean.
9. They can not freeze as it is a completely dry cell battery with zero liquid of any kind in it so if you leave your bike in an unheated area, even -70F, you will not harm the battery!

cheers dave

A electric start is 20 lbs heavier than a already heavy sled, that's my excuse, even with a light weight battery your going to feel it

for a guy whos riding a carbon fiber xm I agree. When you are that lightweight crazy I wouldn't put on an estart either. That said, I love my e-start and its a dream when your tired or you stop a lot. I don't care how easy the pull start is.

ps would love to try an carbon turbo xm 3"......that thing must be insane.

I run these batteries on my 2013 Pro, my BMW R1200GSA and my KTM 450SXF. Amazing batteries and very very light.

EB Speed also sells them out of Calgary and has been for awhile now. Ethan is a good friend of mine and a good guy to deal with. EBSpeed :: Suzuki Pro Street Drag Racing or 403-614-7974 and tell him Blake sent you.

I've been using an Earth-X battery on my 12 Pro 800 for the last year.
I didn't buy the ETX36D they recommend and just put in a ETX18C which is 2/3rds the price and it has been starting the sled just fine.
On the first start of the day with a lithium you need to warm it up a bit to give you full amps, if you turn the sled over for a couple of seconds then wait 10secs and give it another go it will fire no prob. It just needs a quick draw to warm the cells up. Starts first blip for the rest of the day
The Earth-X is the way to go every other lithium requires a special cell balancing charger to make it last but the Earth-X has the cell balancer built into it.

Sorry Randal. I didn't mean that you recommended it but that on EarthX's website they recommend the ETX36D for sleds and I haven't seen the need for the bigger one. Glad someone in Calgary is distributing these now cause it cost me a fortune since EarthX shipped via UPS (after I asked them not to) and cost me an extra $64 in import fee's on top of shipping and US price.

Way to go Superclamp for distributing what I think is an awesome product.
