They were going to try and find a new route to groom all the way as they cannot go past the current turn around along the existing sled path.

Yes, their is a couple different ways to get that snowcat in. Their biggest concern was the amount of small lakes going up through the burn as they can't have the cat going over any lakes for obvious reasons. They should consider having Rene St Onge sit co pilot in the groomer when they attempt it. He knows that burn better then anyone.

Has anyone been up Queest since Sunday Dec 1st. I went up Nov 30th and it looked like the logging equipment was being taken out for the winter, hopefully. They were loading the de-limber at km 8 and Sunday morning loading the cat at the bottom. Only a couple of graders left in the parking lot.
Riding was good up there, fairly tracked around the cabin meadows but the snow Sunday would have taken care of that. Visibility sucked so from the people I talked to no one had ventured in past the saddle yet.

Queest is doing well. Surprised at how many areas were untouched if you know where to look. Even only having them run the blade up the trail is in decent shape.

Lots of precip coming should get the real grooming started.

I'm looking to get out for a ride or two this week, anyone looking for someone to ride with or who wouldn't mind an experienced rider tagging along, please shoot me a PM.

Just a f.y.I alpine. If u don't know

They are logging pretty much all areas , and unless u have a Forrest radio ( to call out km signs ) during the week is a no-no.

Ok, thanks for the heads up, I kind of figured as much, was going to ask around about the logging before I went out anywhere.

I ride sicamous once a year. I read all the posts on here, cause this is how a club functions. My local club could take a few pointers. Thanks for the info, can't wait to get there...
