Connector trail was roughI thought trail was in decent shape on owls , 1st 2k was little rough due to warmer temps down low , snow was ok , but could use a refresh , alot of untouched areas

If you climb up Avalanche alley from Morton lake and go through the little draw area when it opens up a bit turn left and work your way up by a route of your choosing.Staged from owlhead yesterday. Not much fresh close to the cabin. Although, there was more in the trees. Went over skinny ridge and dropped into the bowl by mara mtn lookout. Definitely more fresh snow there. Blue skies until 2pm made for a really nice day.
Which brings me to my question: what's the best route to ride up to the lookout? I know it's possible. Seen old vids on ytube of guys do just that.
Old guys route... That's probably the one I wantOr go past Morton about a km and its a easy climb up the south side with sometimes decent sledding on the way up! This is the old guys route!

I think we're actually describing the same way!The one Bnorth mentioned is allot funner, but not something you'd do at the end of the day!
