I'd second this. Some have ridden 5 days but...............I would think it would be like geeze was that a rock I just nicked or a stump? It sure isn't epic and the trails are whooped.
nice Hun on this one Doug!

but yes if it looks like a rock or stump it is most certainly a rock or stump. I cleaned off a few logs yesterday too.

Well i am beginning to wonder if the camera is broke on Owls Head. The snow level has not changed in 3 weeks. Still less than 2 feet. What are the rest of the areas like . Everything still looks pretty skinny from what i can see and heard. We usually have a big trip planned for this 4-5 days this week end. We are considering putting it off. Whats everyones honest opinion. Owls looks like no go. Blue Lake doesnt look great from the pics i have seen. I heard some people have been into Eagles. I cant see that being real good , unless they have more snow on that side. The Yamicam on Boulder doesn't look great. I have seen some pics on Queest that are marginal.
Sale .... Maybe
Quartz doesnt look like it is ready yet. Lots of traffic but not much snow there either. I think i am trying to talk myself out of going.... unless someone can convince me different. We have guys coming from Saskatoon , Ft Mac . a long ways to go for marginal conditions.

Unless one of these storms in the pacific shifts and actually hits us it’s not worth coming. I can’t believe all the people that have been coming and trashing there sleds already. We don’t even have 3ft and you need a min of 6ft to cover all the logs and rocks! Not looking any better for the next 10days either. Only 50cms over the next 10 days. We need a couple of big 50cm dumps in a row before it’s worth going. The snow will come but right now we are trapped in a huge high pressure system and only catching bits and pieces of the lows as they move through. We need snow.

Someone has to do it..........why not me? I'm hitting the conditions reports with a snow dance in the popular areas of BC.

I'm sorry Doug but If recall my Inuit folklore those dance powers only last 1 to 2 years, that one is from 2013 time for a re-boot :) you may be angering the snow gods. Marcel and I are going to cut bush off the trail up the lake on quads so get outside and DANCE. Who wants to see Doug's updated snow dance?????

Was up Blue Lake today. Parking stretched out form the bottom to 7k where it was getting pretty slippery. Good coverage on the road and starts getting whooped above 13k. Probed 125cm above the cabin with a good base. The creeks are filling in much better then last year. Even found some decent powder for early season. Happy trails!
