My big tex charges the same as a rv when traveling but yes several heavy loads in a quick turn around would drain it quick. Can always add a second battery hooked in parallel to keep a linger life.

I was just on the Allan Dale site, and they have GOOD pricing, but not a big selection.

What's the advantage to having a deck over, or is there any?

Wouldn’t a deck over be kind of high ?
Looked at something like this the other day.

I found a site in Ottawa that carries N&N and not that badly priced, considering the base weight you lose

The triple is still close to 5000lbs
The galvanized would be nice for no rust.

Well........ I broke down today after a fair amount of back to back phone calls and lot's of looking. I went to "Factory Outlet Trailers" today and made the deal on a Big Tex 5x7 tandem, 7000lbs.
The price was great and the accessories they threw in to seal the deal, was more than well worth it. I pick it up on Saturday :)
