this guy on snowest came up with the fix. you guys have nothing to worry about....

The solution is simple. Bring a small bottle of superglue with you while you ride. It pops out? No problem, just push it back in and glue it there! Good luck carrying welding equipment out when you break something welded ;)

Why? Would you like me to throw it in my stress analysis auto desk software and make a picture? It's a poor design if I'm looking at it correctly

I have some pics of mine still on the sled, but have not pulled it out yet. Can somebody post the details of this last failure? I can't read the post on Snowest. Does the guy mention if it was a 155' or 163' STD Pro or LE? Manufacturing Date? Thanks for the pic. I pulled the stickers off mine last night and it has the SN# on it. Wasn't planning on riding mine before the first trip at the end of the month but I'm thinking I might have to go take it for a burn here this weekend to make sure it's good to go.

not much info, the guy is in Russia and it was the first ride on his brand new boosted pro. no VIN's or anything like that has been posted about the units that are seeing early failures.

Do what Tyson h said. Drill in and throw a rivet on each side of the hex shaft??? Seems like a quick fix

Yes, I was thinking of doing that as well. Might just have to do that instead of testing it.

a guy would have to see the thickness of the end cap to determine the length of rivets one would need. it might be solid and rivets would not be effective. I would drill into and use self tapping machine screws or something, at least one on each flat surface of the shaft. they pretty much would have to warranty recall and change all of them like 'doo did, wouldn't they?

sounds like polaris has something in the works about fixing the issue.. this is the first serious issue with the pro chassis sleds and with this being new technology coming from factory on the market there is going to be some minor set backs. with that being said, hopefully polaris jumps on it asap! sounds like the problem is inproper bonding..

only problem with his statement is that there have been very few areas where there is enough snow to ride. it's not epidemic yet, because they ALL haven't hit the snow. it may not be an epidemic, but poo going to have to issue something soon. the other thing that is wrong is the guy putting his 2 cents in about verbal diarrhea....I see some bias there. if he would have kept it to the point and factual I would give it more creedence. remember, us 'doo guys went thru all this....we'll see how poo handles it. I am hoping it all gets resolved quickly, i never got a replacement driveshaft until xmas the following season....
