i have drilled the sliders when i have to put new ones on, takes 15 min tops. set a depth stop on drill. pencil mark on drill press table, drill holes, maybe 15 mins. not sure how much it helps, can get some rocks in holes when running in low snow on trails. i see more benefit with the track clips, lighter, may keep clips and sliders cooler, most rocks grit and dirt will fall out easier.
again, unless you are already changing your sliders, may not be worth the effort.
yes will take <15mins with new sliders, easy peasy- chicken dinner, if it takes an hour each 2 hrs total, you may be a newb or upcharging.

this is why the stock ski doo tracks come with them i would say.

recreation supply sells the clips with holes in them already, which is produced by camoplast.

part numbers are:

L-shaped guide - 080-2530 - $1.69ea
Non L-shaped guide - 080-2531 - $1.60ea

if i am not mistaken i think skidoo also makes a tool for installing clips, not the gay ass dye you have to use a press with. Looks like a giant bolt cuter just for track clips lol

Also heard that the white non dyed sliders have a higher melting point than other sliders.

i was thinking that if you were to drill 2 in holes all over your tunnel, throw hood etc away, drill holes in every part on that kitty maybe even a few in the gas tank and cover them with duct tape you could easily drop 100 lbs. talk about standing it on it's tail. if your like me:d you could try loosing a few lbs, but we know that is almost impossible:beer::beer::beer:.

good luck mr modman, i can see you spending hrs drilling holes for that edge over the short fat guy.:d

I've tried drilling and notching I think it helped, but what works the best is hyperfax and a good set of scratchers. I have a 2.5 track with every second clip removed and have no heat problems.
