We had a great trip through Canmore and up to Jasper. The new rain gear we bought for the trip worked great while we rode up HW 93 for our rain day. Unfortunately after returning to work I was taken out by someone turning left in front of me. The bike will be surely written off and I've spent the past week in hospital with a broken pelvis and partially ruptured bladder. I've just started the long road to recovery. Ride safe everyone.

Wow, could have been way worse. Hope you heal up fast. Not sure what's going on out there, I had someone pull out in front of me when I was in my dually, if they can't see it coming there is no way the would have seen me on the bike.

Thank you everyone for all of the kind words. It was 2 weeks ago today that the accident occurred. I am still in the hospital recovering. The care and the support has been great but am looking forward to getting out in the near future. Physio is tough but I'm making progress as I regain my strength. I'm still not sure when I will be able to return to work but am focusing on healing first. I'm really going to miss being able to Sled this winter.
